About Us
The Animal Health Innovation Network (AHIN) is a multi-partner, multi-disciplinary cluster network drawing together unique local excellence in animal health from the University of Surrey, The Pirbright Institute, Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA), Veterinary Medicine Directorate (VMD), and Sparsholt College together with an ecosystem of academic stakeholders and business including Zoetis, the leading global animal health company.
The Animal Health Innovation Network offers excellent collaboration opportunities between academia, industry, government agencies and research organisations, including access to expertise in diagnostics, epidemiology, vaccine development, immunology, virology, antimicrobial resistance, pathology, surveillance, biosecurity, digital innovation, data science, regulatory affairs, teaching and learning in animal health.
The network has been recognised for promotion through the Government’s High Potential Opportunities (HPO) programme, coordinated by the Department for International Trade (DIT), whereby selected investment opportunities are promoted to foreign investors focussed on driving investment into the UK’s regions. EnterpriseM3 Local Enterprise Partnership (EM3 LEP), working with network’s founding partners, were successful in securing an HPO for AHIN and will lead on its promotion nationally and beyond.
